CH4 Beastman Zolkor

Hi folks,

Well I finished my latest CH4 Beastman Zolkor:

Not much to say about this mini really. I didn't want to go to town with too many colours so he was a fairly straight forward paint job. As usual, I was far too lazy to paint something on the shield so just left it pink. I might return and finish it at some point.

CH4 Beastman Skrak

White Dwarf issue 95 introduces the fantastic range of CH4Beastmen. The legendary Hesh is seen here in all his glory:

Cracking mini from a cracking range of Beastmen. Think I'll have a go at Zolkor next. One thing that bugs me about the advertisement in WD95 is that I find it bloody difficult to make out the names! Should I get any wrong, please feel free to tell me.

Grotesque Metal Shields from Limumworks

Back in the mid 80’s, Citadel produced a line of metal shields:

Now, I’ve seen these shields go for some crazy prices on eBay. One fella won an auction for 24 shields for a whopping £310! These are the shields he or she victoriously won that day:

Just under £13 a shield. Bargain!

Now, they were a tad out of my price range, so since then I’ve been on the lookout for quality metal shields and at last I have found someone who has created these. Limumworks everyone:

They truly are very good and the quality of casting is excellent. I cannot recommend these highly enough and apparently the designer of these shields is going to make even more. These are the first of his releases and they are called Grotesque Shields 01. And, according to the designer, he is currently working on a number of other 28mm scale Oldhammer inspired pieces.

C27 Beastman Swilefog

There’s not much to say about the C27 Chaos Beastmen range apart from that they're awesome little sculpts. This one is called Swilefog:
